• By the free will of a person during their lifetime. Documented consent for the use of organs for the treatment of other patients in case of a brain death diagnosis
• Any person over 18 years of age and of sound mind can become a donor of all or part of their organs according to Law No. 2238
• After obtaining consent for organ use, organs can only be used in intensive care units and only in cases where a brain death decision is made. In cases of other causes of death, organs cannot be used
